Ai+ Smartphone becomes official partner of Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of IPL 2026

Ai+ Smartphone has just landed one of the more eye-catching brand deals of the IPL 2026 season. The homegrown Indian tech company, backed by NxtQuantum Shift Technologies and led by CEO Madhav Sheth, has been confirmed as the official smartphone partner for both Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders for the upcoming season. IPL 2026 kicks off on March 28, and Ai+ Smartphone is now attached to two of the tournament’s biggest franchises right from the start.

This is not your typical pre-season logo deal. The partnership is structured around fan engagement and content creation, giving the brand direct access to two massive cricket audiences across the country at a moment when Indian cricket is as culturally dominant as it has ever been.

What the partnership actually involves

The alliance positions the Ai+ Smartphone at the heart of one of India’s most influential cultural platforms, connecting the brand directly with millions of enthusiastic cricket fans across the country. It includes exclusive fan experiences such as player meet and greets, match tickets, signed merchandise, and access to exclusive player content shot on the Ai+ Smartphone.

That last part matters. Shooting exclusive player content on the device itself is a product demonstration strategy, not just a branding exercise. If the footage looks good, the phone earns credibility. If it does not, the arrangement could backfire. It is a calculated bet, but one that makes sense for a brand still building its reputation in a competitive market.

Madhav Sheth, CEO of Ai+ Smartphone and Founder of NxtQuantum Shift Technologies, said, “Sport has a unique ability to bring people together in moments of shared excitement and aspiration. Our partnership with Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders allows Ai+ Smartphone to connect with millions of fans where India’s energy is most visible and alive.”

Who is Madhav Sheth and why does this matter

If the name sounds familiar, it should. Sheth is the former CEO of Realme India, the brand that went from zero to one of the country’s most recognised smartphone names in under three years. He also led the revival of Alcatel in India before pivoting to build NxtQuantum Shift Technologies from the ground up. He brings a track record of taking challenger brands and making them household names in India’s brutally competitive smartphone market.

Ai+ is part of the NxtQuantum Shift Technologies group and is headlined by Madhav Sheth, who leads the new brand as CEO. The brand launched its first two devices, the Ai+ Pulse and the Ai+ Nova 5G, in July 2025. Both run on NxtQuantum OS, a privacy-focused operating system based on Android 15 that stores user data on Indian servers with a zero-trust framework. The OS features locally trained AI engines and promises no bloatware and no unnecessary tracking for users.

What makes the Ai+ Smartphone pitch different

NxtQuantum OS is India’s first sovereign mobile operating system, built on Android and architected for complete transparency, zero-trust security, and full compliance with Indian data laws. All user data is stored within India on MeitY-approved servers hosted by Google Cloud, with no foreign routing, no silent tracking, and no ambiguity

That positioning is deliberate and timely. Data privacy and digital sovereignty are increasingly loud conversations in Indian policy circles, and a brand that can credibly claim its OS keeps data within Indian borders has a legitimate differentiator in both the consumer and government segments.

The Ai+ Nova 5G is built around a 6.7-inch LCD with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, priced at Rs 7,999 for the base variant. These are entry-level price points, which means Ai+ is going after volume and accessibility rather than premium margins.

Along with Ai+ Smartphone, Mumbai Indians have also forged associations with Rapoo India, Malaysia Airlines, Plum, and KT Professional ahead of the 2026 season. That context is useful. Ai+ Smartphone is sharing a partner roster with established international names, which places the brand in a certain tier of visibility for the season.

For an Indian smartphone company that launched its first devices less than a year ago, landing official partner status with two IPL powerhouses is an aggressive move. The IPL is not cheap real estate. The bet Ai+ Smartphone is making is that the visibility and credibility that comes from being embedded in 84 matches of the world’s most-watched T20 league will do more for brand awareness than any conventional marketing spend could achieve in the same timeframe.
