Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds just got a free content drop, and it brings Amigo from Samba de Amigo straight into the race. SEGA released the update today, letting players groove around the track as the maraca shaking, sombrero wearing fan favourite.

The event is not open ended. It starts Thursday, September 10 at 5:00 PM PT and closes Sunday, September 13 at 4:59 PM PT. During this window, players earn festival points that unlock decals, gadgets and other extras. Once the window closes, that specific earning period ends, so this is a play now situation for anyone who wants the full set of rewards.
What comes with the free content drop
The Samba de Amigo content drop is not just a single skin. It includes a full package built around Amigo:
- Amigo as a fully playable character
- A special “Amigo (Classic)” skin, featuring his signature sombrero
- Amigo’s own vehicle, the Locomotive de Amigo
- Special emotes and sounds tied to the character
