Legacy of the Giant-Kings Part Two: What the New Rifts Bring

Legacy of the Giant-Kings Part Two is a free update for Conan Exiles Enhanced from Funcom and Inflexion Games. It opens mysterious Rifts across the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah, adds four new Sorcery spells, and brings back the Mi-Go with a mini boss and a possible follower or pet. Two more free chapters are still to come.

Something strange is happening in the Exiled Lands. The sky is cracking open, and what lies behind those cracks is not part of the world you know. If you play Conan Exiles, Legacy of the Giant-Kings Part Two is the reason to log back in.

This post explains what the update adds, why it matters, and how a normal player can get the most out of it. I have kept it simple, so you do not need to know the full lore to follow along.

What Is Legacy of the Giant-Kings Part Two?

Legacy of the Giant-Kings is a free story arc that arrives in four parts. Funcom is making it together with Inflexion Games. Each part adds new places to explore, new enemies to fight and new rewards to earn.

Legacy of the Giant-Kings Part Two is the second chapter. It continues the story of Akhamet and the Cyclopean Halls, while the mystery of the ancient Giant-Kings gets deeper. Think of it like a TV series. Part One set the scene, and now Part Two throws in a twist.

If you missed Part One, it began with Akhamet guiding players beneath the Unnamed City and into the Cyclopean Halls, and it also brought back Legendary item repair. You can read about it in my earlier coverage before jumping in.

Why This Update Matters for Conan Exiles Enhanced

Conan Exiles Enhanced is the upgraded version of the survival game. It launched in May 2026 and moved the Steam version to Unreal Engine 5. Player numbers also climbed, with a peak of 47,949 players online at once, the highest since launch.

A technical upgrade only keeps people around for so long. Players come back for new things to do. That is where this story arc fits in. It gives both new and returning players a steady stream of content, and it costs nothing extra.

What Are the Rifts in Conan Exiles?

The biggest addition is the Conan Exiles Rifts. These are openings that have appeared across the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah. When you step into one, you enter a dangerous arena in another world.

The arenas come with:

  1. New challenges to test your fighting skills
  2. New materials you can collect
  3. New rewards to take home

Here is a simple example. Imagine a player called Arjun who has a small base on the Isle of Siptah. He plays with two friends on weekends. Last week he was only farming and building. Now he spots a Rift near his base. He gathers his friends, packs food and healing items, and steps through. The fight is harder than a normal camp raid, but they come back with materials they could not find anywhere else. Now they have a goal for every weekend, not just a base to decorate.

New Conan Exiles Sorcery Spells in Part Two

Sorcery gets a boost too. This update adds four new Conan Exiles Sorcery spells. Funcom says they help players in four ways:

  1. Defend yourself: protect you when a fight turns bad
  2. Control the battlefield: shape where enemies can go and what they can do
  3. Spread corruption: weaken and damage enemies over time
  4. Cast faster: cut the waiting time between spells

If you mostly fight with a sword, you may think this does not affect you. It does. In group play, a friend with good spells can make a Rift run much safer for everyone. If you have never tried Sorcery, Part Two is a good moment to test it.

The Return of the Conan Exiles Mi-Go

The Rifts also bring back the Conan Exiles Mi-Go, a strange creature that fans of the game will remember. This time you get:

  • New encounters with Mi-Go enemies
  • A Mi-Go mini boss
  • Themed rewards
  • A chance to add a Mi-Go follower or pet to your settlement

The pet option is the fun part. A settlement is more than a storage place. It is a home, and having a strange creature from another world standing guard gives it character. Players who love collecting and decorating will have a new reason to go hunting.

How to Prepare for Legacy of the Giant-Kings Part Two

You do not need a perfect build. A few simple habits will help:

  1. Update the game first: If you run a server, update it before your friends join. Players and servers should be on the same version.
  2. Bring your group: Rift arenas are made to be tough, so teamwork helps.
  3. Carry healing and food: Treat each Rift like a short expedition.
  4. Try one new spell: Even a small spell change can improve your fights.
  5. Keep your gear in good shape: With Legendary repair available since Part One, it is worth fixing your best gear before a big run.

Two more chapters are still on the way, and all of them are free. Many players hope the story will pay off the mystery of the Giant-Kings in the final part, but nothing has been confirmed about what Parts Three and Four will contain. Treat any rumours as guesses until Funcom says otherwise.
