Let us go through each part in simple words.

What is the Motorola Signature 27 and why does it matter?
The Signature line is Motorola’s top range. It is the line where the company puts its best hardware and shows what it can do against the big flagship brands. The Motorola Signature 27 is the newer model, and it fixes the biggest complaint about the first Signature, which was its battery. The older phone had a 5,200mAh battery. The new one has 7,000mAh.
That one change tells you what Motorola is aiming for. This is not a phone built only to look good on a spec sheet. It is meant to last through a full day of heavy use.
Motorola Signature 27 price and availability
The Motorola Signature 27 price starts at $1,599, which is roughly Rs 1,51,100 when converted. That is for the base model with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.
Here is when it goes on sale:
- Europe, Middle East and Africa: November 16
- United States: November 26
Prices will be different in each country, because of taxes, import duties and local costs. So the Rs 1,51,100 figure is only a conversion. It is not the price you will pay in India.
The phone comes in two colours, Pantone Coal Smoke and Pantone Capulet Green.
Design and build: slim, tough and well protected
The back of the phone has a large camera plateau with four sensors and an LED flash. The frame is aluminium with contoured edges, and Motorola says the body is elegantly thin. The camera panel mixes ceramic and brushed aluminium.
Toughness matters at this price, so here is what protects it:
- Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 on the front, made to resist drops and scratches
- IP68 and IP69 ratings, which means protection from dust, water and even high-pressure hot water jets
- MIL-STD-810H compliance, a US military test standard for shocks, heat and cold
In simple terms, a splash of tea or a fall from a table should not end your day.
Display: a Tandem OLED that goes up to 12,000 nits
The screen is a 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED Duo panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and LTPO technology. LTPO lets the refresh rate go up and down automatically, which saves battery when you are just reading.
It also uses Tandem OLED. This stacks two layers of light-emitting material, which should give richer colours and better brightness. Peak brightness reaches 12,000 nits. Most phone screens are far below that, so reading a map in direct afternoon sun should be much easier.
Motorola Signature 27 specifications: performance and cooling
Here is where the Motorola Signature 27 specifications get serious. The phone runs on the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, which puts it among the most powerful phones you can buy. That helps with gaming, video editing and the AI features built into the phone.
Powerful chips get hot, and hot chips slow down. To deal with this, Motorola added its ArcticMesh cooling system. It uses:
- A diamond-infused thermal gel
- Liquid metal
- A copper mesh
- A redesigned 3D vapour chamber, which is 40 percent larger than last generation
Think of it like a better radiator in a car. The engine can work hard for longer without overheating.

Motorola Signature 27 camera: 200MP zoom and smart video
The Motorola Signature 27 camera setup has four main parts:
- 50MP Lytia 910 main camera for everyday photos
- 200MP periscope telephoto for zoom shots from far away
- 50MP ultra-wide for big group photos and landscapes
- A dedicated action sensor to help with motion capture
Motorola also added a Video Enhancement Engine powered by AI. It studies the scene before and during recording and adjusts colour tones in real time. So if you walk from a dark hall into bright sunlight while filming, the colours should not suddenly look off.
A real-life example
Imagine Priya, a software engineer from Bengaluru, travelling to Mysuru for her cousin’s wedding. She wants to film the ceremony indoors, then the baraat outside under harsh midday sun. She also wants to capture her little nephew running around.
With an ordinary phone, she would often face three problems. The indoor video looks dull, the outdoor screen is hard to see, and the battery is half gone by lunch. On paper, the Signature 27 answers each of these. The periscope lens lets her film the rituals from a respectful distance. The 12,000-nit screen helps her check the shot in sunlight.
The 7,000mAh battery and fast charging help her get through the day. How well it works in real life will need proper reviews, but this is exactly the kind of day the phone is built for.
Software and AI: Android 17 and Gemini
The phone ships with Android 17 and gets seven years of OS upgrades. That means you can keep it for a very long time without feeling left behind, which helps justify the high price.
Google’s Gemini is deeply built in. Two features stand out:
- Gemini Omni can turn a prompt, photos or old footage into a polished video
- Lyria can create music and soundtracks
So Priya could turn her wedding clips into a short highlight reel and add music without opening another app.
Battery, charging and sound
The 7,000mAh battery is a big jump from the 5,200mAh in the first Signature. Charging support is strong:
- 90W wired charging
- 50W wireless charging
- 5W reverse wireless and 4.5W reverse wired charging, so you can top up earbuds or a friend’s phone
This is also the first Motorola phone to feature Audio by B&O (Bang & Olufsen), so speakers and sound tuning should be a step up.
Motorola Signature 27 India launch: what we know so far
The Motorola Signature 27 India launch is confirmed for this month, but Motorola has not shared the exact date. The India price has also not been announced. Phone prices in India often differ from global prices, so it is smart to wait for the official number and any launch offers before you decide.
Who should buy it and who should wait
It may suit you if you want top performance, a very bright screen, strong zoom, long software support and a big battery in one phone.
You may want to wait if you are price sensitive. At $1,599, it competes with the most expensive phones in the market. Compare it with other flagships, read full reviews and check the India price before you buy.
The Motorola Signature 27 fixes the first Signature’s weak battery and adds a brighter screen, stronger cooling, a 200MP zoom camera and long software support. The price is high, but the package is strong. Keep an eye on the India price, then decide.
