Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage is now available on Xbox Game Pass

Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage is now available on Xbox Game Pass, giving subscribers another way to play SEGA and RGG Studio’s long-running 3D fighting game.

The game is included with Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass. Players can now jump into the latest version of Virtua Fighter 5 without buying the game separately if they have one of these subscriptions.

The biggest addition in this version is a new single-player mode called World Stage.

Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage adds a new single-player mode

World Stage gives players a way to play through a single-player journey rather than simply heading into individual fights.

It is designed around the idea of taking your fighter through different stages and matches while improving your skills along the way. For players who are new to Virtua Fighter, this gives them a more structured way to spend time with the game.

The game also includes the familiar fighting modes from Virtua Fighter 5, so players can continue practising, fighting against other players and working on their techniques.

Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage supports online play

For players who would rather fight against real opponents, the game supports online multiplayer with cross-play.

That means players on supported platforms can compete against people playing on other platforms. The game also uses rollback netcode, which is designed to make online matches feel more responsive and reduce the impact of connection problems during fights.

For a fighting game where timing matters so much, online performance can make a big difference.

Players can also use the game’s training and replay features to work on their skills. These tools are aimed at both beginners who are still learning the basics and experienced players who want to study their matches and improve specific parts of their gameplay.

Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage is also on sale

Players who do not have Game Pass can also buy the game.

The Standard Edition on Xbox Series X|S is currently available at 50% off. On PS5, the 30th Anniversary Edition is available at 60% off as part of PlayStation’s Tokyo Game Show Sale.

So there are currently several ways to get into the game, depending on the platform and whether you already have a Game Pass subscription.

Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage arrives ahead of Virtua Fighter Crossroads

The release also comes at an important time for the Virtua Fighter series.

SEGA and RGG Studio recently showed more of the upcoming VIRTUA FIGHTER CROSSROADS at Summer Game Fest and EVO Las Vegas.

For long-time fans, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage offers another reason to return to the series while waiting for the next major entry. For newer players, the new single-player mode and improved training tools provide a more accessible place to learn how the series works.

With the game now available through Xbox Game Pass, players on Xbox and PC can try the latest version of Virtua Fighter 5 without having to purchase it separately.

For anyone who has wanted to see what makes the series’ 3D fighting system different from other fighting games, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage is now easier to get into.
